The Governor’s Giant Vision Competition, now in its 20th year, will be held on April 11 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. The event features six startups and eight student-led ventures pitching innovative business ideas for top prizes.


Among the startups is Kirkwall, founded by William Cromarty of Sioux Falls. Kirkwall stands out for its mission to prevent critical failures in autonomous systems, using advanced algorithms to detect cyberattacks, perform diagnostic monitoring, and enable preventative maintenance across unmanned aerial vehicles, ag-tech platforms, and industrial IoT systems.


Winners will be selected based on business potential, market opportunity, and growth prospects. The event is hosted by the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry and is open to the public.
