Governor’s Giant Vision winners announced | Kirkwall named winner

Kirkwall, a Sioux Falls-based startup founded by William Cromarty, has been awarded the $20,000 top prize in the 2024 Governor’s Giant Vision Competition. The company’s innovative software safeguards autonomous systems—such as unmanned aerial vehicles, IoT-enabled agricultural technology, and industrial systems—by detecting cyberattacks, monitoring diagnostics, and enabling preventative maintenance. In addition to the cash prize, Kirkwall received a special marketing package provided by KELOLAND Media Group.  The annual competition, hosted by the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry, aims to foster entrepreneurship and economic growth across the state.
